- The Internet Phone README.TXT file states that you should turn off compression
- and possible error correction for faster response times. I don't understand
- this - I thought that the compression was adaptive and would therefore not
- slow the system down, but would only speed it up. If there's no benefit to
- compression, it wouldn't use it. Am I wrong? How much effect could the tiny
- amount of data needed to determine if compression should be used have on
- huge voice files?
