  11. The Internet Phone README.TXT file states that you should turn off compression
  12. and possible error correction for faster response times.  I don't understand
  13. this - I thought that the compression was adaptive and would therefore not 
  14. slow the system down, but would only speed it up.  If there's no benefit to
  15. compression, it wouldn't use it.  Am I wrong?  How much effect could the tiny
  16. amount of data needed to determine if compression should be used have on
  17. huge voice files?

  19. Has anybody tried it both ways and found it better without compression?
